Yarra Valley. Located in Victoria, less than an hour's drive from the Melbourne CBD is the Yarra Valley. Here you'll find gorgeous rolling hills and wineries with some delicious restaurants. Some wineries worth checking out include: The Healesville winery (known for its chardonnays and restaurant Giant Steps), TarraWarra Estate (located on a beautiful lush hill and producing some of the best pinot noir), and Oakridge Wines (a family owned vineyard, with great wines and even some delicious pastry).

Margaret River. Located in Western Australia, a three hour drive from Perth, is beautiful Margaret River. Known worldwide for the premium wines they produce in this region, there are some amazing vineyards to check out, such as Vasse Felix (Margaret River's founding winery), Voyager Estate (a big name in the wine biz, putting sustainability first, they focus on chardonnay and cabernet sauvignon), and Arimia Estate (a boutique winery, located in beautiful bushland, right near the ocean).

Barossa Valley. The Barossa Valley is a world renowned wine region located north-east of Adelaid in South Australia. There are many high profile wineries in this region, with shiraz grapes the local specialty. Some of the top wineries of the Barossa Valley include: Seppeltsfield Winery (with its entrance lined by palm trees, Seppeltsfield Winery is something different to behold, but you can't go past their 100 year old tawny Port), Penfolds (a well known name in the wine industry, you have to stop at Penfolds estate, which has arguably some of the best wine in Australia), and Hentley Farm (enjoy a meal in their barn house restaurant, elegant with some delicious wine).
